Rich's ability to take on new challenges is unsurpassed and it is probably this attitude and skill set that are his strongest assets. As you can obviously tell, I hold Rich Payne in the highest regard, both professionally and personally. I would not have to think twice for a second in regards to recommending him for any position he might pursue. If you require any additional information or comments please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you, • Jeff King, US Sprint, nizekick@aol.com . |

Mr. Payne is extremely professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed with the way he would explain to me the problems and how he corrected the problems. For the first time, I have a working understanding of our intranet structure. I know that Mr. Payne would be a valuable asset to any company. • Gwen Bertram, Creative Needle Magazine, http://www.creativeneedlemag.com, 800-443-3127 |
I have worked with Rich Payne on many projects over
the past 7 years. I have used his skills as a writer, project manager, computer troubleshooter,
audio/visual specialist, web site creator, software trainer, database builder, hardware
researcher. I have found him to be consistently professional. He has always delivered
projects as promised. One of the things I appreciate most about Rich is his ability to make innovative suggestions. He becomes a partner with the person initiating the project to insure the best possible outcome–usually better than originally expected. • Penny O'Dell, Blue Ridge Printing . |
Rich Payne assisted
my department in the capacity of consultant regarding the installation of a closed-circuit
television system. Besides providing technical advice in the design of the system
which included different types of fiber optics and traditional cable, we depended
on Rich's experience in electronics, television production, broadcasting and narrowcasting
to alert us to any potential hotspots from a communication or installation standpoint.
Including him as a consultant on this project has assured me of solid, competent
advice which I have used throughout various phases of this project.• Tom Hunter, Corporate Media Productions Administrator, McKee Foods Corporation, tom_hunter@mckee.com . |

I know the challenges you encounter when I try to convey to you my Acrobat dilemma, that of trying to visual my problem when I can't fully express the situation using Acrobat terms. You patiently query me for further information and suggest a solution and always attach an invitation to contact you again if I need further assistance. He has been a blessing to me a number of times on matters such as this. Most sincerely, • Pamela Neveu, Associate Analyst, ARINC, Dayton, Ohio, 937-429-6143 . |

It is my privilege
to comment on overall character of Rich Payne. I have known Rich since 1993. I know
him to be a man of great personal character and integrity. He is a devoted husband,
an outstanding father, and an active community leader. He is a man of strong spiritual
convictions, which are demonstrated in a very visible way by his activities within his church and other Christian organizations. I have known him in times of plenty and in times of trial, and he has always conducted himself with great kindness and dignity in either situation. Any association with Rich Payne will be a positive and rewarding experience, and I highly recommend him to you and your organization. Sincerely, • Ron Fitch, Vice President of Sales, MDS-US, Inc. Thank You! • Tommy Baker, Instructor, Progress Energy, Brunswick Nuclear Plant Technical Training . |
.I consider it a pleasure to work with Rich Payne in the creation and support of the web site dedicated to The Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers. Rich has been patient with me in my discovery of the use of the web and the development of not only a web site, but also the creation of a printed newsletter for the members of FCPO. I have learned a great deal about what it takes to build a first rate site and have also learned to accomplish much more through working with Rich than I have thought possible. He has gone out of the way to assist me in my learning curve on computers. It is a pleasure for me to work with Rich Payne. • Jim Hammond, President, FCPO-USA, 423/622-1234 . |
.For approximately a year Rich Payne has been assisting our nationwide ministry (4,000 members) with our computer needs (web page, e-mail, desk top publishing, computer training, etc.) We are very pleased with all aspects of his work: the ability to understand and interpret our needs; his technical expertise and competence; timeliness; courtesy; training skills and, of course, the end product. Perhaps most important is his ability to work with people, especially those of us whose level of technical understanding is far less than his. As our President said: "I learned more from Rich in a few hours than in all my previous computer experience and training!" Please contact me if you wish to discuss this further. Sincerely, • Grant Wolf, Executive Director, Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers - USA, 423/622-1234, fcpo1@juno.com . |
I

of professionalism. He is highly skilled in a great number of areas involving media
production and computer technology.I recommend him without reservation. • Marty Hamby, Marty Hamby Productions, martyhamby@aol.com . |
Mr. Payne
has never worked for me but his knowledge, expertise and professionalism are areas
for which I can certainly vouch. On several occasions I have felt the necessity to
call him regarding a project in which I was involved. Through quick, to-the-point,
and always kind replies he has broken down the obstacle hindering the project's progress
and enabled it to be a success. Likewise, given the opportunity, he will be an excellent
asset to your work.• Peter Swanson, Pioneer Design Group, http://www.pioneerpc.com, peter@pioneerpc.com . |

Mr. Payne has been a tremendous help in the development
of our growth on the world wide web. He has been with us from the very beginning,
offering his knowledge and resources. He has taught us ways of improving our services
in ways we have never expected. He is one of those that "stay on top of every aspect" of service to customers. I have no clue as to what he might do for you, but I can tell you that you will have one of the "BEST" at whatever it may be. Mr. Payne has never led us down a wrong path. • Bob Evans, Callaway Diecast Collectables, http://www.cdc46.com |
I would
like to recommend Rich Payne. He is very good with computers. He has worked on my
computer at home, and came and worked on some for us at school. He hooked up my computer
center in my kindergarten room. His expert advice helped us get the information we needed to write a grant proposal, also. • Peggy Hamby, Public School Teacher, Chattanooga, TN |
I serve
as the Technical Contact person at Hillcrest Elementary, an inner city school which
is part of Hamilton County Schools. Rich volunteered his time last summer to take
a look at a pile of old Macs our school had slated for discard because we couldn't
afford to pay to have them fixed or purchase new computers. He was able to piece
together several for us to put back into commission, saving us a bundle. He made
several trips back as he was able, each time working quickly and with skill, always
very friendly. We were impressed and grateful. I think he's a great asset to any
team. • Linda Helton, Hillcrest Elementary School (423-855-2693) |
I worked with
Rich Payne at CBMC. I found Rich to be a very creative and hard worker, who was willing
to put in the time and effort needed to make sure a project was completed and done
well. Even before he joined CBMC, Rich volunteered his time and completed an emergency
project no one else could have done in that amount of time.On a personal note, I appreciate Rich's commitment to his family. He also has helped set us up with a home business computer system, including running the ISDN line. Rich has always been willing to help us "non-techies" with technical applications. Please feel free to call me. • Derrick Merck, Registered Representative, AXA Advisors, 423-855-1945 |

I particularly enjoyed his family's company when we were at Glen Eyrie for Staff Conference. The conduct of a man's family speaks extremely loud about how the man conducts himself, and his family impressed me mightily with the kind way they interacted with one another and others. No tantrums or bad attitudes, always gracious and cheerful. I am glad to have known them all! • Bryce Goddard, CBMC, Inc., Chattanooga, TN |

• Karen Fink, Accounting Services, CBMC, Inc. . |

I have personally known about the quality of Rich's work for over 15 years during my time as a mid-level manager with TVA. He was the principal person in making the multi-media department at TVA a true service to many TVA departments. I left TVA after 31 years and did some consulting, and I now sell commercial real estate. I have recommended Rich to various friends and he did some free gratis church work for me . Everyone that I have talked to has been happy with the results. Rich is a very creative and forward-thinking person. He is very disciplined and focused. If you are looking for that type of person, then Rich is your person. If you want a Yes-person that will not actively engage others, then Rich is not your man. If you have any other questions concerning Rich' work and integrity, I would be happy to elaborate on the above information. • Joe Pleva, Commercial Real Estate Broker, Chattanooga, TN |
| TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY I
am pleased to provide a reference for Rich Payne. Rich worked for me at the Tennessee
Valley Authority for approximately a year. He displayed excellent technical skills,
including the ability to learn new products quickly. In addition to "desktop"
support, graphics and video, and Web development support, Rich provided informal
mentoring to clients as well as serving as a classroom instructor. Rich is highly
organized and detail oriented. As a self starter, he anticipates requirements and
tasks and looks for ways to advance the enterprise. • Douglas Wielfaert, Manager, Internet Services, Tennessee Valley Authority, (865) 632-6720 |
| TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY Rich
Payne was my designated contact for providing information services support for two
projects I had been involved in. It didn't take long for me to understand that Rich
is personally motivated to provide fast, effective service that not only meets but
exceeds the expectations of his client. On both jobs, Rich not only provided the
results requested, he exercised his technical skills by recommending and implementing solutions that would improve the quality of these projects. Our personal relationship that has developed from this work-related beginning makes it a pleasure for me to recommend Rich as an outstanding example of a man who consistently demonstrates high moral values, motivation for personal excellence, respect for authority, and a commitment to serve his family, his community, and his Lord. • Richard Smith, TPS/Substation Design, 423-751-7024, jrsmith2@tva.gov . |
| TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY I
have known Rich Payne since 1988 and worked with him on a number of projects at TVA
during the period 1988 through 1994 when I left TVA. I have found Rich to be very
knowledgeable in the area of Information Technology and Video Production. He is technologically
competent, a man of his word and a great person to work with. • David L. Cadwell, Network Analyst, 423.751.8575 . |
| TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY As the Forms Manager at Tennessee Valley Authority, I was always
in need of first class computer assistance in every facet of managing the Forms Program
for TVA. Rich Payne was often called to come to my rescue in resolving a crisis or
searching for a new technique. Our department was tasked with developing intelligent
forms on the computer, expanding our graphic capability, and interacting with other
TVA programs. Rich was ALWAYS ready with his expert skills and friendly assistance
to help us resolve our computer needs in a timely manner. If I could say only one thing about Rich, it would be his aggressive search for the right solution to any computer problem we had. We counted on Rich to advise us of the newest trends in the science of computer technology, and he never let us down. On another note, Rich's management style was laced with understanding, compassion, kindness and wit. It was always a pleasure to work with Rich Payne. I can think of no person more sincere in resolving a crisis or researching a better way to do business. • Sue E. Shafer, TVA Forms Manager, Retired, Knoxville, TN |
| TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY I

in providing initial computer networking for Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Nuclear.
Rich is an honest individual with the highest regard for doing what is right, without
reserve. His dependability was never in question. If he committed to doing a task,
the task was done, most of the time ahead of schedule and below cost. His work ethic is outstanding. His personality is extremely outgoing and most professional. Do not miss an opportunity for your operation to use him, as Rich will provide most excellent support and direction. | TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY I
would like to recommend Rich Payne for any Information Technology job because he
is totally competent to do it - guaranteed!!! I worked with Rich at TVA for many
years and he was a lifesaver for me when I had to learn the Macintosh. The Mac was
my first computer at TVA and I was computer illiterate, but I could always call Rich
and he would bail me out. He was always willing to go above and beyond to solve my
computer problems. In addition to his work phone number, I also had his home and
pager numbers so I could reach him for support no matter where he was. I always told
Rich that all I needed was his SSN, fingerprints, and blood type and he would never
be able to hide from me! Seriously, Rich is truly a dedicated professional with a
wealth of IT knowledge, and therefore would be a great asset to any company. Not
only is Rich smart, but he also has customer skills which enable him to communicate
with anyone at any level. I know of no one who deserves an opportunity to serve a
company more that Rich Payne. • Gail Plemons, TVA Forms Management, 423-751-3332, ghplemons@tva.gov |

it, he continues to have patience with me, and continues to stand by my side. He
